::lstrip

string.lstrip() - remove white space at left side
string.lstrip(string chars) - remove characters from string at beginning

string.lstrip() returns a copy of a with all white space at the beginning of a removed.

string.lstrip(string chars) removes all characters contained in the string chars at the beginning of astring. astring itself is not modified but a modified copy is returned.

"-0045".lstrip("-0") == "45"
